Overview

I created a robot that automates 3D printing.
It automatically removes the build plate with the completed print, puts it to the side, and replaces it with a new build plate.

Assembly & Testing

CNC machining the aluminum side-plates for the robot structure.

Mid-build progress; Stepper motors are mounted on a CNC aluminum mount, which is attached via standoffs to the laser cut steel bottom plate.

Manual demonstration of the plate removal and replacement mechanism.

Custom perfboard electronics; two Trinamic TMC2209 stepper motor drivers are connected to an Arduino Uno.
